I'll agree.

Training (in my opinion) should consist of taking what should be a genetically charged dog and allowing the breeding to shine all the while doing everything possible not to screw it up in the process.

Dogs were proficient hunters long before they were domesticated.  They didn't need a human hand then, and I believe the best ones don't need a human hand now.  My job is simply to provide the opportunity.  Nothing more, nothing less.

Some of the best dogs I've ever hunted behind were never run with older dogs.  Started alone as a pack of pups and figured it out themselves.  The guy would take them to the woods and turn hogs loose for them to go find over a period of time getting farther and farther away.  Not once or twice, but several times a week and probably over a years time.  What he ended up with is a pack (that in my opinion) he can be extremely proud of.
