You where talking with Josh. He said he has been hunting 18 years not hunting with Boxers for 18 years. But he is right on the Ozzies using them in most crosses and a lot in pure form. William Drapper uses nothing but Boxer, and Boxer cross in Ozz. He is a full time pig hunter and sells thousands of pigs a year to the chiller boxes. They don't have Pits in every other yard like we do and have found that Boxer makes a super hard cross. You shouldn't have trouble finding Boxers that catch. There are just some things you can't show breed out of bulldogs. I would say most of the Pits and AB's being used on this board did not come from hunting lines and a lot where just pound puppies. You might have your odd cull or two with any breed but I don't see it being higher with a Boxer than with any other bull breed if the dog is healthy in the first place. Just look at how many Dogo's are culls, and I have seen more than a dozen Pits that bayed pretty from hunting lines. I think people put way to much thinking into the breeds when they really don't need to or even have enough time to hunt enough to prove a dog as a bad breed. And if the dog is healthy with no genetic problems then you shouldn't have any trouble no madder the breed. Just stay with good heathy dogs and you will be fine. People say the hunt has been breed out of Danes but I have yet to see one that wouldn't hunt that met all the health and temperment requierments expected of a hunting dog. And if you don't believe me on the Boxers just spend some time looking at pig dog for sale adds in Australia. More than half of the dogs will have Boxer in them some where.
