When my dad and brother got Hank he was about 4 years old and it took him a couple of months to hunt for us. But we had already seen him hunting plenty of times with his previous owner so we knew what we were getting. I swear he would look at my dad and brother crazy eyed when they would tell him to get ahead :p he literally just stood there and stared at us lol. It'll take time for the dog to get used to you and new dogs. Hunt him with previous owner to make sure you got what you paid for.
