Did the cut have to be stapled or stitched?

On nicks and cuts that our dogs get here and there I use Scarlet Oil if they can't get to them to lick them. However, as long as they can lick them, they seem to heal faster if I just let nature do her thing and try not to interfere. If it's a pretty good cut, I take them out of their heavily bedded stalls and put them on concrete that I can keep clean. I give them a carpet square to lie on and pamper them a little. Once the wound is healing up nicely and closed, they move back to their stalls.

That's just what works for me. I'm certain everyone has their own way of dealing with cuts and scrapes :O)
