But trying to compare labs to bulldogs is like compareing good whiskey to 3 day old tea. They are both drinks but are totally different. A bulldogs intensity is 5 fold to that of a labs and yes i have been around duck dogs. I believe in good handle but dont think there is enough handle in the world for some catch dogs they just are that intense when it comes to catching a hog and hardheaded they will revert back to whining and that constantly telling them to shut up is a pain in the rear
I agree 100%. one of the best catch dogs I ever seen was a whiner, and nobody could "persuade" him to be quite when the bay dogs were workin'. I have one that whines a little. not bad, but she is gonna whine.
