It was a fun hunt amoungst friends, short and sweet. I got a kick out of this hunt because, At the first boar, I stood watching, & waiting, wanting to let the young dogs get in on some action, Mr.Masons Ace jumped down to dry creek bottom to try and get in closer under all the thick stuff, (that Blue had him bayed under on the far side from where I had a clear view at him), Ace hit the bottom in front of me, and the boar charged fast, rolling him up good & clear out of the way, I had released Smoochy about that time, he was pretty close to me as She hit him head on, a split second later Victor hit the other ear! It was exciting, I was thinking "If she misses, not likely, but if she does...., I am toast!"

Hey Matt, yeah, I am shocked you recognized Earl, she had a set-back when those Coyotes got ahold of her, so now we are trying to boost confidence again. She is not getting out like she was before the incident.About those pups in the heat, I got a box fan going, I rigged it up on the outside of kennel with all cords way out of reach and fan is pointed so it is blowing down and across the whelping box, during the heat of day they are all stretched out on concrete trying to keep cool. My biggest worry is that the momma dog gets too hot and does not nurse enough to keep pups hydrated, so I keep the fan going for her mostly.

Realdogs, your words are moving. If only there were Hallmark cards for hog doggers! lol Grin
