Not to say that there are not good yella dogs and that I have not owned a few but out of the five black mouth dog that were good enough to ride for my brand 4 of them are RED. This topic has got me to thinkin so I called up my dad and grandpa to refresh my thoughs and asked them to think back and comare the yellas, reds and brindle dogs they have owned and might I add Thats all we have rasied for 3 generations is Black mouths Yella, Reds and Brindle. Response was COLOR don't matter so my next Question was what was your best three dogs you can remember and out of the six 3 reds, 1 yella and 2 brindle. I would have to say out of the 3 best I have owned it would have to be 1 of each. I can aslo say that we bred to best to the best and color is of the least of importantance. I don't think color matters but it does make one think is it just a coindence or is there more to it. Waylon makes a good point in his comment.
