You cant judge a dog by its breed.....each is an individual and will perform as such.  Even in a litter of pups some in the litter could be as different as night/day.  Go with what you like as far as breed goes and then try to find one that performs to what standards you have in mind.  If you are looking at a pup then the best you can do is choose based off of parent's performance and pray for the best.
