Buddy called this morning said they had 2 of my barrs bayed wanted to know what I wanted to do with em I told em bring me one they could have the other one got him hanging in cooler now make sausage out of him

That hog has good teeth! He have your mark in the ear?

Most around here couldnt tell a boar from a barr....let alone an ear mark. But I still keep cutting them.....This is the way!

Yes sir had my mark i swallow fork both ears and shorten tail i don't bob it off like little to get a hold of last year some guys here close to my house told my buddy they had kill real big fat sow had it hanging in cooler he went by there it was a barr with my mark lol

Got summer sausage in smokehouse we made yesterday skinned this barr this morning cut him up made sausage

  Around here I use a split crop in each ear, we call it the Dirty Creek mark haha. Marked cattle with an overbite, underbit and swallowfork in each ear, tried to wear a knife out on'em. Like to smell the hair burn from a hot iron too, brands and marks aren't as common as they once were.
