have any of you ever had a pup get stuck in birth canal, it happened to me twice on the same dog. The first time the first pup was stuck i waited all night for her to give birth but the pup never came out this was on a Sunday so i had to take her to the emergency vet but first i tryed to pull out on my own and reposition pup but no luck so i took her in it ended up costing me $1300 for a seasection and only 2 pups lived. I told the vet to fix her wile opporating but she said i had to wait 6 mths. to do this. So she comes into heat 4mths later and i lock her up and tell kids not to let her out but one of there friends comes over one day and lets her out and she gets bread again i call diffrent vet for abortion he suggests not to said just because it happened first time dosent mean anything the pup could of just been in a bad position so i go with his advice. Well the day comes and the first 3 pups come out fine and the next one is stuck so i call vet he says bring her in he tries to remove but cant the dog has a weak eutorus and cont push hard enough so i have to get her another seasection this one cost 800. and she had 8 pups the vet fixed her right then and there he said for free (hes all heart) the reason i am writing this is to try to save someone else some trouble if you have a dog that hase trouble with pups the first time get fixed soon as possible some dogs just dont have it in them to give birth. She was worth the money though the best trail dog i ever had and i gave the pups to my hunting partners and they are turning on great
