I was hoping someone could take my son and I on a hunt this weekend. He is 6 and stands in the driveway and waves almost in tears everytime I leave to hunt, the places I have I have to walk or ride a horse and my two leases are dogged out. I can return the favor for a walk or horseback hunt at your convenience, just need to go somewhere I can take him on my fourwheeler and have a good chance to get on a hog, I hate asking but I'm doing it for him. Thanks in advance.

Jason,

I may be out of your distance (Temple), but would love for you and your son to accompany us on a hunt sometime.  My oldest son is also six, and makes 95% of the hunts.  I know how important it is to get 'em going young!  I also have a son who is three and I get the same waves from the window when we pull away, but I know his day is not too far in the near future.

When our boys are along, there is always an extra person who depending on the situation can hang back at the wheelers with the boys if need be.  It's sometimes hard because my son wants to be in the middle of the action.  Believe it or not, his job is often leading in Zeus our main catchdog.

This weekend will be a little tight on schedule, but give me a holler anytime you get a chance and you guys are more than welcome.  We hunt at least once per weekend.

Take care
Bryant

PS-  Still have Coal?

Jason,,

All you have to do is check your voice mail!  Left you a message last week about a hunt. We have places within a couple hours that can be hunted on four wheeler or truck. You and your son are always welcome to hunt with me.  I have a couple daughters that are chomping at the bit to go too. I won't walk hunt with them yet, but they can go on four wheeler or truck with me.
Heck if it works out, you and your son will have a hunting place 10 minutes from your house too!

got a new rhino with a extra seat and a 4 wheeler that i leave at the house becasue no one else to ride. But my boy is 3 and he has been on a couple hunts. We have taken other kids around 6 and they loved it. We usually let the catch dog go from further away and drive right on top of the catch if possible for them. But he will love it and you will be suprised what a 6 year old can do in the woods when hunting. Grin But i dont know where you live but i may be too far i have places around 1 - 2 hours from dallas in any direction. Just let me know and your are welcome to come and hunt.
