Thanks for the welcome, got some good leads on mules, just got to test them out now and get ready for after deer season, we got 15 inches of rain down at the ranch and I had some hunters get drunky wunky and stick my backhoe, tractor and a couple of guide trucks, went down there with my Mack with winch to recover them and ended up getting stuck and unstuck and stuck and etc etc, the land in souteast Bee County turns into quicksand and water is coming up out of the ground still down there!!  I bought $600 worth of cable with tailchains to try to tie the unstuck Mack to a big oak tree to try to winch the otherMack(wait till the hunter gets that bill at $150 an hour!!) one out, its hell with the ground turned into slush and sucking boots offs, what cracks me up is there are new hog tracks in the new ruts we are making ever day dragging stuff out of this one bog hole we have to go thru to get to camp!!  Its almost like they are laffing at me and tagging there turff to say stay out we rule this ranch!!!  I have been out of hog hunting for years and was stunned to see a website and all of the new hunters and tons of dogs that when i quit hunting i figured were about to die off, sure glad to see all of the cur strains, terriers, catch dogs, Lacys etc and even the Running Walking Foxhound stilll getting used like they were susposed to be!!

A lot of the guys who got me started are now dead alas, but I think I see Lavon Davis's name in some older posts, could somebody post him phone number where he is living now, he used to be at Oyster Creek in Angeleton?, I have hunted with Jimmy porter, lavon Davis, Bruce Whiters, Bruce McCumer, goofy McCumber, Edgar Meyers, Robert Handy, Billy Don Blevins, ronnie Hoff, Ronnie Mabe, Juan Guerra, Joe Refus Lyne, Justin Lyne, Obe cory, PJ Loomer, William Moser, Sizemeore, Wade Cornielus, Richard Schillings and tons I prob forget now since its been so long.  I still remember the first time hogs showed up at the ranch back in the late 60's.  I have dog  hunted coyotes, bobcat, squirrel, deer grey fox lion and bear and swamp rabbits, jack rabbits wityh greyhounds.   I always tried to sneak in a few terriers into a race if i got the chance too, thanks again for the welcome Guys and for the website, we sure did not have anything like this last time i was hunting, its sure full of good info!!!

Lavon Davis  979-233-1755

That's the last number I had for Lavon.  Last I heard he sold out... Never know though, he might have some dogs again.
