Well, I went to the local pound last week and found a year old pitt, good looking big headed, good natured dog... Brought him home and he got along with everytning I have, so that was a big plus.. The dog looked like it had been someones pet (very well taken care of). Well, to make a long story short, today, the man at the pound called me up and asked if I still had the dog, because the owner of the dog came in to ask about him. The dog catcher told me it was my choice to keep the dog since the 3 - day holding period had expired. I called the owners on the phone and they explained to me they were out of town and he must of got out of their yard, and their kids have been upset every since. I met the owners at the pound this after noon, and their kids and the dog were happy as can be.. So, I decided to hand the dog over to them, the owner thanked me - I just told him if that had every happened to me I would hope my dog would be returned. Anyway, the owner , the kids, and the dog were all happy - made me feel good... So back to square 1 - Looking for another catch dog.....

Thats a good story, you are a saint! I would have done the same thing, and the best part, being so close to Christmas the kids will be real happy this year.
