Saturday I got a txt message from Trey asking when I was going hunting again, I told him we were going tonight. Kidding around he asked if he could go, I told him to come on. He gathered a friend up with some dogs and headed my way, it takes approx. 4 hours to get to my place fron his so they had a good drive. When they got here they were ready to go, except me. I didn't have anything packed or any dogs vested and in the trailer, by the time I did all that and changed into some huntable clothes they were getting a little anxious. Finally we headed down the road to the hunting grounds. When we got there we loaded the trailer with the dogs behind the Samari and took off. We didn't make it far before we got stuck in the mud, We all pushed while my Dad gave her hell lol, we got out and continued to putt along in the mud. It wasn't long before we stuck it again, by now I was sure Trey and his friend Jake seriously thought we would never go hunting. After alot of pushing we got it out and finally turned the dogs out. It wasn't long we had a bay going, my Sadie dog struck first then the rest burned up the woods. Sadie and some of Jake and Trey's dog's had 1 bay going and my dog Blue had another going. Me and Trey ran down to Blue, he stopped baying when we got there, don't know what happened but both bays stopped. Wasn't long another bay was going on, Trey took of with his cd and caught the first pig, it was a boar that went around 200. All the dogs rolled out again and it wasn't long we heard them bayed again. We looked on the Garmin and it showed them at 900yds, with the cd's dragging us we took off towards them. When we got there Jake's dogs had him caught, Trey legged him while I stuck him, another boar around 200. The dogs rolled out again and bayed, they kept doing this but could never hold him there long enough to send some cd's to them. We were in alot of thick palmetto's so we think this had alot to do with it. We were ready to go so I called my dogs back, while I was doing that Jake's 2 dogs rolled out with 1 of Trey's with them. We heared them bayed almost a mile out, we headed to them but they kept getting farther. Jake tried calling them back but only Trey's dog came back. The Garmin lost signal with all dogs, so Jake and Trey decided to go get them, I sat there waiting for them to come back for at least an hour or so. I finally got cold and went back to the jeep to warm up and catch a nap. Finally they came back but with only one dog, they said they came to a highway and stopped tracking the dog. We all got back in the jeep and headed towards the trucks. We managed to get the jeep stuck a few more times before getting there. We put the dogs up and went down the road to where we thought Jake's dog was, we tracked him on the garmin all the way to a house. Jake got out and stopped at the drive way I kept telling him " don't be scared go in there and get your dog" bout that time the lights started flashing on the house so jake called his dog and he came running out of the bushes. Jake picked him up and we got out of there before we got shot out lol. This would of been a nice little hunt but Jake's dog's decided to go on vacation lmao so we ended up getting home at 6 in the morning. We all had fun and got 2 nice boars so it wasn't so bad after all.
