Never bayed one in stacked cedar, but have bayed plenty in rose hedge thickets, and youpon/ vine thickets. Crawl in on your hands and knees through a tunnel and pray the hog does not break and head your way!

if I remember correctly glen hesseltine had a big boar back up in a brush pile, dogs had no way in to catch him but head on.  He had a good walker hound killed that day.

that is a pretty rough lookin spot for one to bay up. My worst experience so far has been a big metal drainage culvert in the swamp. I could see the dogs in there and it was probably about 3.5 ft wide with all kinds of swamp trash that has probably accumulated over the years. i called my baydogs back and turned the pit loose and went in right behind...when he hit the hog a bad fight got startedbut the pit never let go and between me pullin the pit and my buddies pullin on me we drug out a decent hog. No dogs were killed but the pit was beat and cut pretty good on his front.

Good job on the hunt and glad your pack was not sliced up.

Glenn tells me a story about crawling in a big mesqite slash pile and having a line of hogs charge out! He said he laid down and the pack ran clear over him! His property has plenty of spots that are down right thick!
