Well this is a horrible pic and I was not able to get the squirrel on the ground but I was sure proud when she went to treeing  Cheesy   Kicked her out and she smelled on the tree the squirrel had come down out of she tracked him across the pasture about 75 yards and finally after checking a few other trees settled on the correct one I had seen the squirrel run up and went to hammering.  I was really happy but mad that I couldn't find the squirrel, I think he went and laid up in a nest that was in the tree.  I felt bad but I figure if she will keep barking I will eventually get one down to her.  Here is my cell phone pic from her first tree for me....

Sounds good to me Mike, I am going to start putting out sunflower seeds in a few areas and see if I keep her tuned up on the squirrels around here.  Once I move I have a feeling I will wear out my new pellet gun on em  Grin

Oh! If yall get some squirrels, I can make that squirrel stew in the dutch oven!

We don't have any trees, so we don't have any squirrels.

That she is, I really need to get some better pics of her standing and on the tree.  She is a good looking dog just wound a little tight!!  I like to watch her tree though.  If I can ever quite these dang home projects I will take her hunting behind my house, there are small furries and squirrels everywhere!

Aladatrot - I used to go ALL the time. We had some very good tree dogs when I was younger, but once i started hog doggin all I wanted to spend my energy on was hog dogs.  Wink That was about 10 years ago. How has Foxxy been doing?

Foxxy is great. She will be wearing her sweater starting Thursday morning and will probably be staying in our dog box with lots of hay while it is very cold. She is so sensitive to the cold, and our box stays toasty warm with the canvas wrap around it and lots of hay in the bottom.

I haven't hunted rabbits in a while, but she got in on a 200 lb boar this past weekend. She is my favorite hunting dog, but don't tell lizzie and tater that!

I feel all left out because I don't have a squirrel/coon dawg.
Cheers
