I am posting this for one of my hunting partners he was up in crocket tx hunting. He was by houston county 4 h trainer road when the dogs got by a road an he was trackin the dogs he was gettin closer an closer he found his collar behind a tree rolled up. When he got there he seen a TAN CHEVY TRUCK DRIVE OFF. The dog is solid black with a white chest named obama.Any info would sure be nice thanks. You can call 281 622 1162 are just write back an people need to no bout this guy somebody got to no somebody up in that area thanks alot

Maybe get some pictures up and see about the power of the internet to spread the word and get some help to shut down some dog thieves, Any of that dogs kinfolk pictures will work if you don't have any. He will have that long muzzle, good block head, long legs, oblong ears. Real black with white spot chest and maybe some white on his toes??? I have not seen him since he was a pup, can't remember exactly.
Travis, I am sure you will get some eyes and ears to help recover the dog.

You guys got any big trees in Tx? That and a long rope will usually slow down the dog thieves........  I HATE a thief of any kind, but a dog thief I absolutely despise.........hope you find your dog..... and the guy that took him.......  |

well guys god workes in many many different ways after findin the trackin collar behind a tree we just new in was over. So went an drove all over crocket askin who all hog hunted no luck went back to the camp an hours later the phone wrang an it was a state trooper that called he said he was a dog lover an was driving on his road an about 3 miles down where obama was taken was his name plate collar in the ditch he stop an got in an called an started askin questions well he said he might be on to something that there was some boys that called him an ask could they come to his property an try a NEW DOG OUT so the boys took obama well trooper called back an ask what color he was an it matched so went an met the tropper an they couldnt catch him so we had to catch our own dog that the guys were huntin. its one in a million to find a collar in the ditch so trooper said call monday if we want to file anyways thanks forever thing guys

That is great news!Was the trooper a tall blound haired guy?The reason I ask is that I was blowing through Crockett about 20 miles over the speed limit and got pulled over by a trooper.Before the guy asked for my license he asked to look at all of my dogs so I pulled each one out of the box and he had a look,I was wondering what the hell is going on here?Then he starts asking how the dogs hunt and where I was going.He then said those sure are some nice dogs you have there and to slow it down some and let me go.For those of you not from Tx troopers dont let you go without a ticket even if you look like Pamela Anderson.That was the first time in my life I was ever stopped by one and didnt get a ticket,I was going fast enough he could have taken me to jail .

Also, take time to file the paper work and press charges. Just because everything worked out this time does not mean it will next time. Every time a case is recorded in the record books of dog theft, it gives hunters a leg to stand on when their story does not end well.

Glad he got Obama back. I agree with Heat... Press charges and maybe those guys will think about it next time they come across a dog, and remember that the last time they stole one they had to pay a price for it.

I say invite those guys that stole the dog to hunt with u  so u could have some new hunting partners hopefully in the marsh u know where chest waders wont help  didnt they have a plane a couple years ago get swallowed in the florida marsh  |
