I was only trying to be helpful, NOT SAYING YOUR DOGS ARE INFERIOR! My dogs couldn't catch a cold so who am I to talk trash, just asking if you saw,the hog. Ive sent gator to a bay that numerous times that turned out not to evn be a hog and had him come back to tattle on my other dog. Sorry if I sounded rude, didn't intend to come across that way

naw man, I'm just messing around on here with some of the boyzz. It's all in fun! I just love to hog talk! Seriously though, I catch about 3-4 hogs just about every time we go. I'm too old and fat to keep going any longer than that. Usually after about 2, I'm ready to hit I-HOP! We make these young guns do all the work. So, sometimes we a few more cause they want to. Naw, the other night, I had an ol' boy say... "are you sure they're not running rabbits?" I was like yeah these rabbits out here in this stick cane are fast!!!

We got on one Sunday morning that we could not keep bayed and thought just maybe that they had trashed or something because we do run some gritty bay dogs. So we went in to try and see if we could see what they where after by the time we got to where they where baying it had broke again so we called the dogs off, and when they got to us two of them had there guts hanging so i dont care if you run gritty bay dogs or not there are just some hogs that wont be caught on some days.

All you guys who are saying everyone gets outrun are wrong! I like to think that my dogs knew it was a shoat and didn't wanna get in trouble so they just let it run off! My dogs don't get smoked they just get left behind! Nah seriously though it is all part of the game you've got to outsmart the pig like Cward did on his last hunt and catch the pig slipping.

I like to think of it as a yellow jacket that you just can't outrun you will eventually stop to take a swing and that is when the rest of the nest will catch up!

I hear you. The lesson in this is don't doubt your dogs. We run into this alot with thick brush or places with net wire. The hogs know the trails by heart. They can hit them 90 miles and hour plus they are part bulldozer. Dogs can only run and smell so fast. When they hit a wall of brush or net wire it takes time for them to find the holes. The hogs have home court advantage.

the next 200lb runner we catch out here in the marsh, I'll bring it to an open field and you can turn you big bulky Pitt loose on it and if he doesn't stop him in the first 2 miles, you own me $500 dollars.
i cant resist bring this 200 lb runner to a 2 mile open field and get ur video camera . i will put either a hound r my lazy old house dog which is not a pit he is just a cross i need some money
