Slimhogdog, Turdburd, and I went made a quick Saturday evening hunt. So we loaded the boat, and headed out. We turned the dogs out on a couple of spots, but nothing came of it. So we decided to go to a spot where we were getting a few on camera right at dark. We let the dogs out, and Ginger, our gyp, struck 200 yds. away. The other 3 dogs met up with her. They bayed for a minute or two, but the hog broke. For some reason, our older dog Ricky Bobby came back along with our puppy Dixie. By then, Slim and Ginger stopped the hog and were baying it again. The GPS had them baying about 600 yds. away along a bayou. So we jumped in the boat and took a 10 minute boatride around the lease to get to where they were baying. Our CD is in heat so we left her home. So we are hoping that the bay dogs can handle this hog. We hit the bayou bank 60 yds. from the bay. We let Ricky Bobby out the boat, and he went straight in and grabbed the pig on the ear. It was all she wrote then. It was good to see the dogs bay that long! sorry for the face i was making in the secon pic. the pig was trying to get up.LOL
