Guys, I sure appreciate all the kind words. It is hard to see hunting without him, my crew of hunting buddies have several good dogs that bay alot of hogs but Clay was our anchor.

man I know how much you loved that dog. its a shame to hear he is gone. it sounds like you may have at least gotten some pups out of the old man before he passed so hopefully his blood will live on and help find some more hogs for you in the future.

Paul, man i hate to hear that about ol Clay. I knew from the couple times i talked to you and Phillip that he ment alot to yall. Losing a dog like that will make a grown man cry like alittle girl. Was the vet able to tell what happened to him?

Sorry to hear about clay. I've got 2 that could never be replaced. They're both about 5 years old now. I'll probly want to give up hunting all together when they're gone. I think a dog is one of the best companions a man can have. I don't think it's fair that their lives are so short.

Thanks again guys, I will tell you there is a very heavy sadness, not only in our house but even with our hunting friends that spent as much time with Clay as I did.
