Went to south Texas this weekend and spent two days at David Perkins place near Uvalde.
Went the first night and ran a big boar but never got him caught, the next day we went out to one of David's place that was about 13,000 acres. We headed down the road and about 1/2 a mile in saw a big boar run out. Dumped the dogs out and in no time Magic and Blondy had him bayed. Sent David's bad a** bulldog in to handle him and he did with perfection. Cut 3 dogs. All are doing fine. Thanks for the hospitality David.

Ran over this bad boy on the way home.

Got backs to God's country Saturday but the weather was bad. Finally cleared up and was nice and warm today. I went outside of town 2 or 3 miles to check a trap I had been seeing big tracks around and there he was. Went back to town and let it cool of and then me and 3 buddies went back out there. We finally got him out of the trap and let my two 15 month old pups out behind him. He ran and bayed up nicely 300 yards across a field in a tank. Sent my two rookie bulldogs in to seal the deal. This pig was a handful but we finally got him down. All but one dog got cut but they should be fine.

This Collar probably saved by bulldog a nice little cut.

WTF is that?  LOL!  These guys remind me of Samuel L. Jackson's character named "Jewls" from Pulp Fiction.  Reminds me of his wallet.  That's freaking halarious.

On a totally different subject, dern nice boars!

Hey Texas Hog Dog,

I have only made a couple of hunts to South Texas. Last year we were worried about rattlesnakes but the locals said you only really needed to worry about them the most in late Fubuary, March and early April.

Would you agree with that?

we were there for two days and that was the only snake I saw. The guy who I was staying with said they were about to get bad though so I'm assuming that's true. We were only 4 miles from Mexico where that pic was taken.
