Marshall Mims had a day off so I cleared my schedule to go this morning. Since my 19 month olds, Boogy and Ann's pads were still raw from the 20+ hogs over the weekend I decided to take my two 7 month old pups for there first trip. We went to my Trinity County deer lease because I got word there were some sows and shoats on the south end, and that is what I wanted to start the rookies on. Well, y'all know how wanting usually goes! We unloaded and drove about 400 yards to a deer feeder, the old dogs Roscoe and Roxy trailed about 200 yards and bayed. We drove around the plantation to get closer then realized they had broke once Blaster,Wilma, Crack (halfpit) and the pups got there. When we caught up to them I was surprised as they were bayed and catching this ~240lb boar hog. Since Obama, my cd, is still on the injured reserve list I knew the day would be interesting if this happened. So, while I was taking pics with my phone I was trying to coach Marshall into catching his first good hog, but as the pics show every time he got close the hog would spin his way. They even played ring around the pine tree! Well the hog crossed the road into some open woods and I was tired of him trashing my pups, so I had some redneck games and parked my Polaris 4 wheeler on top of him! This is Marshall and the two 7 month old pups still baying the hog.
