Does anyone hunt around waco tx? And wats the good in havin a bulldog as a catchdog besides thier strength?

most bulldogs you dont have to worry about them turning a hog lose and thay will be there till the end

Yea, all of those things are true. Most important if you are tacking hogs alive, other dog will break on the catch. If that happen with a big hog you can get hurt bad.

It gives me some more confidence when I am going in to leg one. I just know he aint going no where with 2 bulldogs locked on. I have seen cur dogs let go about the time you get there. Never seen a bulldog let go but have saw them get knocked off or drug off with the hog going through a big briar patch.

I hunt west of Gatesville, not far from Waco. I use a bulldog because when I turn her loose I am confident I can go in and leg the hog no matter the size. Maybe its a mental thing but I feel better knowing shes locked down and not letting go till I get her off.
