Does anyone have any experience with these dogs?? My uncle purchased a pup a couple months back and it may end up staying with me for a few months while I start it. Just wondering if anyone has any experiences with this bloodline as I am not really a "papered dog" kind of guy! Haha Good bad long short anything??

I have never hunted with any....But I have ran against them in bay pen trials in years past and they were pretty hardcore Catahoulas. The Mooreheads used to come up to 1st Monday in Canton and sell them. They are pretty good dogs from what I have heard from people that have hunted with them. They have been Breeding Catahoulas for a long time.

Thanks for the reply Pecos21! My uncle picked this pup up from a guy on the other side of the island that I guess is into gamebirds along with Catahoulas a couple months ago and now is in need of the kennel space so he is gonna be staying at my place while my uncle works on more kennel space. I'm not to sure how he will fit into my pack but if he's ready to go and on my runners, He's getting loaded up along with a couple other pups around the same age as him. He is 7 months old! Here is a pic my uncle sent me on my phone of him.

Thanks Joe! I'm hoping he along with my Catahoula /Whippet come out good as I think they would produce nice dogs  and I have been thinking of breeding my own dogs for the future. Heres a updated picture of my Catahoula/Whippet, I have no clue what bloodline she came from but I know her dad came from Louisiana. Now that I mention it I will ask the guy I got her from what kennels he came from.

i know a guy around here who has some salty dog pups around 6 to 9 months, his are short to medium range(still pups), but they hunt hard for their age, they seem like they are really early starters, and catch on quick from what i can tell, and all have a machine gun bark, seems like some good blood. a guy had one of his littermates to his pups and sold him at 6 months old striking hogs on his own for a big amount of $$$$ for a 6 month old dog
