Went out last night to the sugar cane fields. Brought a australian buddy from work who has never been before. After alot of walking Bella finally struck one and bayed it in a real thick ditch, tied him and headed to the truck. He was probably about 170 and not much teeth.

On the way back Bella winded across a BIG canal into a management area and I couldn't catch her in time and her and my pup Gringo crossed over. Right away she had it bayed, then it broke, then bayed, this went on for about a half an hour, so we walked about a half mile back to the crossing. She had it stopped for probably 20 minutes while we were trying to get there, and once we got close they broke again. They got out of hearing range so we just waited and about an hour later Gringo came back, and another 30 minutes after that Bella came back. I found a hog track with my dogs tracks behind it, and by the looks of it he was a STUD, but I guess i'll have to go for round 2 tonight!!

Glad you made it to the woods and caught one. Maybe the bigger hog will be next!

I had to work Sat, hope to make it out one day this coming week....if it isn't too hot!

Yeah, it took the dogs about 5 minutes each to cross because it is so thick in there. Gets you a little bit worried with them big ol' lizards in that canal.
