I bought  military gps case at an army surplus store for $1.95.  cut a hole in the top for the shorter antenna and it works fine.

go to lion country supply     they make a leather case with a clear plastic front.  works great to keep out mud and dirt.  I also took a spring loaded cable that has a key ring on one end and a locking hook on other and hooked to to case as a back up incase i drop it in woods it would be hooked to me.  it was a nikon brand that came with a range finder i bought.

I went to Tractor Supply and bought one of those big cell phone cases. It works great.
