Been hunting this cornfield the past couple of nights and the weather has been in the 90's for the most part so i havent been running cut vest on my catch dogs...well we turned out at 10 pm and in bout 15 min my dog bo had one caught and we got there killed the hog (150lb sow) and as soon as she went down bo took off and went to find another one well bout an hour goes by and i gather up all the dogs but bo and i have to track him and i track him for bout 30 min and the collar just shuts off and i have no kind of signal and i call and call for him and bout another hr later my brother finds him back in the corn field with about a 6in cut across his chest went all the way to the chest plate and up to his cut collar...THANK GOD it didnt hit any main veins, got him cleaned up really good and patched him up and im keeping him in the house now..he is going to be ok but it was a bad night w/ my collar going out and him gettin cut up and i didnt get that hog but ill be back in the morning to go after him

Corn at night I very dangerous.  Monday I had one cut bad.  It was only about a 1 1/2 inch cut but some how the hog jerked out about 8 inch long 4 inch diameter protective membrane.  Man that scared me to death when I saw him running around with that hanging out. Looks like he is going to by fine according to the vet.  Bo is one of my best strike dogs.  Sure hope your dog heals quickly.

I had a QuickTrack collar on him, and i had another dog get cut yesterday but not as bad i still had to staple him up but he is jumping around like a new dog so  he shouldnt be out to long but. its like choosing the less of 2 evils..either u run the risk of a heat stroke with the vest on them or run the risk of them getting cut all to pieces with no vest. idk
