This is another linebreeding post sorry!!Ok I got a pm from Bobby B. On TDHA board asking if I knew my COIs on my linebreeding program!!I had heard of it but never did it!!
I did my Ellie dog because she is the tightest breed dog on my place!!
Ellie is my best cow dog and has more handle than you can ask for!!She can also hold a herd as good as any!!
Her IC (inbreed coefficient) was 8.5% not supposed to be over 3%!!!!So inbreed she is!!!
Her AVK (ancestor coefficient) was 71.5% not supposed to be under 85%!!
She was the only dog I did!!She is probally to tight but she's good!!All the other dogs should be just about write on the money!!
This is also the gyp I took to breed to Bigo's and Skoalbandits Bear dog!!I knew she was real tight and was ready for an out cross!!

P.S. Ellie was one of my real good hog dogs supper cold nose and can move a track faster than anything on my place!!I was hunting cows one day with her and she bayed a rally of hogs I rode in there and scolded her off and told her to cow find cows!!She did what I ask and she would not bay a hog for 6 months after that!! She will find me a hog now but i have to coach her into it so I just don't take her much any more!!To good of a handle I guess!!It don't matter much she is worth to much as a cow dog anyway!!

My bad I try to keep up with what's what but I dont know alot about the Ole lines mine have some Feelgood and Sims back down the line but that's really kinda Greek to me I like how mine do and want to keep it goin

Crystal swears on my mothers side it's pretty tight!! And I hate to admit it but we did go to a family reuion one time and Crystal ask me what is my exgirlfriend doing there!! I had to tell her she is my cousin!!This is a true story but she was pretty!! And it was like 6th cousin!! But I got one on Crystal to so she don't bring it up much!! I should have stuck with line breeding we have 2 good kids and one bad one!! Percentage not as high as I liked! |

Dr. Feelgood was by Jordans Henry who was by Drivers Leroy out of Owens Liz. The Doc dog was out of Sugarwho was by Nuttings Tex out of Jordans Bea. Old Bea was by Camps Moe out of Drivers Jenny. Jenny and Leroy were litter mates. The Simms dogs came from R.E. Taylor. It's a good thing you didn't come hunt this weekend. I got on a hog both days that made us look like Ned in the third reader. I think my dogs thought I was trying to sell them.

Chance,
If you don’t mind, what numbers and formula do you use in determining the inbred and ancestor coefficients of your dogs? I’m not interested in the variables because I know they won’t apply to my dogs anyway.
And please try and keep it in east Texas terms if you can. It don’t take much before it starts slipping over my head!lol
