my pit cd started catching on leg after getting cut really bad by a big boar.  She never caught there before, has anyone ever had any luck breaking a cd of that?

might look like a pit but maybe it is not a full pit... Shocked I don't have the answer for you.

Have someone hold the hog down or tie it down.  Keep the cd on a lead and lead her to the head and she should catch the ear(it's the easiest thing to grab with the hog lying on it's side). Just repeat this several times and praise the dog for catching the ear.  Then turn the dog loose on the tied hog she should still catch the ear then untie the hog and see where she catches.  If she's not catching the ear go through the process again.  They usually figure it out.
