i been debatin on freeze branding my dog. what i have now i am very content with and dont plan on gettin rid of them any time soon or even at all. i was wonderin what maybe some of yall thought or how i should go about it. should i buy one or is there somewhere i could go to get it done? any help or tips would be appreciated -chase

You will probably have to buy or make your own brand and have a vet do the branding since they would have the coolant. I would talk to the vet and see what the brand needs to be like to get a clean brand. I would reccomend Kevin Gray for the vet, he's a heck of a good guy and would at least tell you what you need to do.

The coolant is liquid nitrogen or dry ice and alcohol u can do it ur self but some on here are more experienced than me on dogs

Nitrogen can be purchased at your local welding/gas supplier. If you decide to use dry ice, many grocery stores carry it. I recommend having a professional make your brand, you will be much more pleased. All of my dogs are branded, once they make the cut. I look at it as a duel purpose, deter theif and advertisment if I were to sale one.

I would agree on having the brand made by a professional and I would have the vet do the freezing too because what gets put on there is there to stay! I figure they would sedate the dog but don't know for sure. I've seen horses done and it takes the jump out of them so the brand doesn't smear. Dr. Gray is in Cumby and his number is 903-994-2909.

thank yall. and i have been lookin on the internet at custom brands. i am with you i would rather pay to have one that looks good since i'll have it for a while. and cole i'll be sure to do that if you'll pay for it lol and thank you levi i'll contact him tomorrow and find out prices and all that.
