A good friend & hunting partner from several years back, contacted Thomas as he was to be a best man in a friends wedding, he was planning the bachelor party. He wanted to take acouple of the guys out for a productive bachelor party where no one got in trouble. We were very gald to hear from our old hunting buddy and happy to take his party hunting.
We made nearly the whole round on the property, the dogs were working good but nothing, until we were nearly back at the trucks, when I looked at the Garmin to see Buzzard was solo 280 yds across the open cow pasture with Roo about halfway to him when he cut the ATV off, the Garmin showed treed immedialty and then we heard him and then Roo.
This was the Grooms first hunt with dogs, the guys took off across the pastutre and released the catch dogs. The Groom got to stick his first boar and was still amazed and what all just transpired.
The Groom with his boar.
They packed the hog out and back to where the bikes where and we went another couple hundred yards and the dogs started another track but this time were spilt up in 3 different directions, Thomas took the party to the closest and I grabbed Titus and went to the furthest at 700 yds. All bays broke before we released catch dogs and we called it a night with just the one boar. I thought we were doing great on time until we still had to clean the hog and somehow it turned into 2 am before our friends were on their way home.
