i just gave a pup to a good friend of mine who is a dps officer canine patrol and he swears that it is all in the length of thier muzzle. believe it or not the dps' favorite drug dog is a german shepard according to my buddy. he watched the pup for a few weeks and figures he will be great. I never knew the highway patrol trains thier own dogs they dont buy them trained already. He is suposed to bring over some drugs and let me hide them for his dog to find and show me some pointers on general obediance. sorry to highjack but had to do with sent finding and all.
