I decided to go huntin wednesday about 2:00.  So i loaded up and went by myself.  I was going to try and work on free castin a pup.  Hadnt really seen alot of pig sign on this place in a while.  So i sent the dogs all under 20 months.  Well they didnt come back after about 15 minutes, and i noticed them workin an old fence line.  They took off down that line and in just a minute i heard them set down on a good bay.  I thought they must of found the calfs.  Well i walked up to the fence line and seen a couple of hog tracks.  The closer i got the further away they were goin.  They were bayed solid the whole time, but had a walkin bay.  Finally they got to a saplin thicket on the edge of the creek and held up.  I walked down there, the pig wasnt gruntin or anything just dogs barkin.  They were bayed pretty loose.  So i got in there to where i could see, this thicket had no  vines in it so when you knelt down you could see great.  Thats when i realized i had about 50 pigs bayed and more than half looked to be 200+.  I pulled out my phone cause i had to get this on tape and started filming.  I sent the catch dog in from about 15 yards and he caught.  Then my heart sank the pigs didnt bust, they jumped on top of my catch dog ALL OF THEM.  The rallying noise they made shook the trees, i was amped and gettin all this on video.  Then they busted i had one pup bayed on some to my right and two dogs bayed to my right.  But no squeal from the catch dog.  Then the pig started squealin with the two to my left so i went there.  They had about a 200 pound sow caught in the creek.  So i started videoin that.  Well my other pup that was bayed by himself came to all the squealin (wish he would of stayed hooked by himself).  Got the pig stuck, finally got the dogs to roll out, and they hunted their tails off just never could line out one track.  It was funny watchin em run in zig zags, circles, u turns, and every which a way tryin to figure out where they had went.  All in all good hunt for the pups.  Oh and my video got erased. Sad

Great hunt there Brandon, Im glad them pups are getting gone and getting it done for ya. Hollar at me when you get some time off and we'll set something up. Me, Bob, Wendy and kelly went out to the ranch yesterday but we couldnt find any fresh sign, the dogs hunted alright but they knew there wasnt any there but went anyway.
