I hope this don't start a hell of a argument but here it goes.

TV shows with dogs hunting hogs.

All this TV stuff with dogs hunting hogs IMO it could be the knife that cuts our on throats as far as hunting hogs with dogs.  To me right now it is a thorn in some peoples sides and might be rubbing some people raw and that can turn into one hell of a incurable sore and screw us all in the long run.  This could be a glass cage that might just come tumbling down when the right person throws a rock !

Just something to keep in mind !

JMO to much exposure is a very bad thing sometimes !  Don't be fooled !

My Momma use to tell me .   Sometimes Less said is best said !  In this case Sometimes less seen is best seen !

I hope I have not made anybody mad by saying what was on my mind .  To each his own!

Yep i think it could be bad thing if the wrong person sees it and the starts to push the issue. They will not ban hog hunting out right but will happen is the will take a way certin parts of it. Just saying i think it is a slippery slope we do not want to get on the side of.

Jim,
I think we are just about out of wind over this show until the next episode anyway.
Judging from what I have read, your concern here is the biggest concern for all of us that are speaking out on it.
Your momma is a wise woman!

There is no argument.  These shows will mark the beginning of the end of hog hunting with dogs for sport.  This sport is one negative national broadcast away from being out lawed.

Most hog hunters are good people having fun or providing services.  The anti's see it as a blood sport.  They compare this to dog fighting and hunters provide the footage that will ruin our rights.

These young guys that post bloody dog pictures on these forums don't help.  The public can handle a bloody hog, but the dogs get people wound up.  I'm not saying don't post pictures, just take a chance to point out the good that's being done, instead of trying to make your chest swell.  If the facts get out no one can argue about what wild hogs are doing to the environment.  But sadly, laws aren't always based on facts.

My Grandfather caught hogs, raised hogs and handled dogs all of his life for a job.  I do it for fun and help local farmers.  I have no memory of life without it, please don't take it away from me with careless words, and pictures.

It's not just hunters that find their way on these hog hunting websites.  We have to be careful.

Yup we are living in a glass house and all it is gonna take is one rock to bring it down on our heads cutting our on throats.  I just hope and pray the rock is not already on its way !!!!!!  Its just to much in my opinion.

X2 I just watched a video on another thread of a shoat being held while a cur chewed on its head. a few months ago the video would have not bothered me in the least. now that i am aware of just how much hogdoggin is in the lime light i feel that those type of videos should not be uploaded to the WWW. Hate me if you want but i feel videos like that are fuel for the anti doggin fire and people should use thier heads a little better on what they upload. There are so many videos on you tube that I guess a few more dont hurt anythang Huh? some of my all time best memories are from in the woods with my dogs and i do not want that taken away from me.... Sorry if i tick anyone off but i am gonna be real ticked if i get told my dogs are retired.

The only reason I believe they havent made this illegal yet is because hogs are a problem, they sure shut the deer dogs down just because a bunch of rich fat cats didnt like deer doggers.

Bad YouTube videos are our biggest propaganda enemy if you ask me. I'm not talking about the clean ones. You won't see them on sites like this because the mods yank them if they are ever posted but they are still left on YouTube for the world to see.

It's not jealousy, dogs, or style that I have a problem with in regards to this show and others. It's exactly what we are talking about right here!

I would like to point out that here on ETHD we have a handful of mods, but every one of us is a volunteer, and we have regular day jobs that take some of our attention. We cannot see every post on every thread.  I don't ever look at the videos forum, as I don't like seeing shaky video.  If you, as a member, see something that does not look appropriate, look at the bottom of that post and click on the report to moderator link. At that point, every mod will receive an email, and one of us will be able to make a call on the post.  I sure don't want pics and video from ETHD to give the anti's any more ammo than they already have.
