went to a new place tonight after work.  left the house at 7, had a 200 pound sow tied by 7:45.  the land owner said we could drive down this dirt road to the shop, so we road hunted with doofus out front for a couple hundred yards.  we turned prince out to see if he'd get ahead a little further with some help, and they took off together as fast as they could.  200 yards later i was slamming the truck into park and turning out the last two dogs.  they caught less than 50 yards into some pine saplings.  grand total of 20 minutes from turnout to slamming the door on the trailer.

we tried to go after the other 3 in the group, but one of the rcd's wound up back at the trailer trying to catch the sow again.  guess it's tough for a green bulldog to focus on hunting when he knows there's a pig already at the truck.  we called it a night because we've gotta work tomorrow.  we'll be going back soon, and often.  the hogs are tearing up the landowners' yard.  they have a 28 acre lake 100 feet from their back door, with a road all the way around it.  the coolest part is it backs up to 1000 acres that we're already hunting, and it's a place i can take the wife and kids on four wheelers.

give me a holler richard we'll need some help when we get these hogs dog smart. lol. they're somewhat desensitized to barking right now.  the landowners have 3 yard dogs that bark, but from a distance.  the hogs have learned to ignore them.  should make for easy pickins for a little while.  they have a catahoula cross that's been whooped by a squirrell before!
