We picked up a new place and decided to try it out this weekend. We loaded up 4 strike dogs, Benny, Moon, Slick, and Wiley, and three CDs, Ike, Jake, and Kimo. Hunt started off with a small hiccup as the dogs bayed a good 200+ boar....that was in a round trap. Got the dogs away and moved on. Wasn't long til dogs opened up again but in the exact direction of another round trap, but this time dogs had a group bayed just 5 yards behind the trap. Got one decent sow about 175, dogs rolled out and were in non-stop hogs for the next couple hours. Caught several hogs in a deep creek, so we all ended up soaking wet from chest down. Finished the day with 7 total hogs smallest being ~100lbs and with one decent boar that went exactly 220 on the scale. He was the last hog of the day and took the dogs and us on about an hour and just under 2 mile (as crow flies) race, but finally got him shut down. He had decent teeth, but no damage was done. This was the first time I've seen the dogs wear out before we did.

Doing real well, other than wondering why we don't catch as many hogs as she used to with Holubs  Smiley. She fits in great when grouped with the dogs that were on this hunt.
