Went to hunt a place for a land owner with a few other doggers.  I thought it was going to be a tough hunt being as though the wind was blowing about 15mph in the wrong direction to hunt this place.  We started with one pack of dogs on the ground, just five bay dogs.  It started out kinda slow,  Wink and caught one within about ten minutes or so in a little mott of brush next to some freshly planted corn.  Spotted boar that was a 185 lbs.  Loaded the dogs up and went down to the river bottom and turned my dogs out along with Justin's three and another buddies rcd.  We watched the dogs hit the next pig about ten minutes after turning them out.  The wind was killin me.  We saw this pig, before the dogs, down in a long wide draw.  They were up wind working and I was begining to think they were gonna slip past him.  The dogs were about 100 yds in front of the four wheeler when they changed direction and made a beline to him.  I thought they were going to catch him right there.  It was pretty cool to see.  He just stood his ground until he got bumped by one of my rough dogs, then the race was on.  The land owner made it around the other side of the brush and saw the pig run along side his cattle and then cut right through em.  He was awful proud to see the dogs stick with him.  I had three dogs break loose and go around the cows.   He made it about 300 yds and was locked down.  He was a 196 lbs.  I tied this one to a tree and we worked our way down towards the river.  About 30 minutes later, the dogs jumped the next pig about 75 yds in front of us.  It looked to be about 90 lbs so when I was asked if I wanted the bulldogs cut loose I said no.  I got to this pig and relized he was a little bigger than I thought but the dogs took care of business.  He was a 152 lbs.  We loaded the dogs and took them to the river for some water.  We swaped packs again and hunted another area with no luck.  Loaded the dogs and went to another area.  I was told we might want to put both packs on the ground for this spot.  The dogs opend up about 100 yds from us and we made our way down to em and saw em workin a real nice boar.  He saw more dogs coming and decided to break.  Thats when all hell broke loose.  This pig ran us straight to the rest of the pack.  There were pigs running everywhere.  We had dogs spread out every where too.  Fortunatly, we had enough guys to go to all of the bays and sqeals.  We caught seven in that spot in about 30 minutes.  Three decent pigs were dispatched in the river, and the other four were all smaller pigs.  We went to another spot on this place where I thought we were going to just water the dogs.  I was fixin to start loading them back up when they dicided to hit one more little spot.  Four pigs later we were through.  One that was 150 lbs, another that was 115 lbs, another good boar that was dispatched on the edge of a tank, and a little shoat to take home to the pups.  The land owner was real happy with the hunt and told us to come back any time we wanted.  Sorry for the long post, Patrick.
This is the first boar.

The second boar.

The third boar.

Following the crew to another spot on the place.

The five that went to the buyer.

I don't think there will be a shortage anytime soon.  When I said pigs were going everywhere, I mean pigs were everywhere.  Between all the decent sized pigs, the good pigs, and the countless shoats and piglets, there had to be better than than 75 in that pack.  It was amazing to see.  Thats when I realized why the land owner wanted us there so bad.

Nice group of hogs.  I have never hunted behind a rcd, on your second hog that broke was it the rcd's job to catch him or is he just an extremely rough baydog that waits till the full time catchdogs get there?

All mine and Patricks dogs are pretty rough, they usually got them shut down and caught when we get to them and we very seldom have to turn a catch dog loose.

The first one was the only one that broke the bay.  One of my rough dogs hit it on the butt and the race was on, but it didnt last long.  The second one didnt break the bay the dogs jumped it from behind a fallen tree.  They ran it down and caught it.  I wish I could have seen them shut em down, but it was sure nice whatching them run em.  I missed my Bo dog shut one down right beside me when we got into the pack.  I was following another one of my dogs on a little larger pig.  The dogs really worked their butts off.  I was proud to call mine after this hunt.  I'm sorry there was another that broke the bay but it was before the rough dogs got there.  That was the one that ran back to the pack and got everything split up.  Wild day, but a lot of fun.
After reading this again I wasnt very clear.  That was the first one with my dogs.
