My antenna is mounted on a magnetic base and stays on my Mule.    I never would have been in the market for an antenna, except that the first time I used the garmin antenna it broke. Sad

One thing I have learned, when swapping antenna,  Just snug it up, don't use any real force when tightening at the base of the astro.
