I am looking for some local (I live in NW Houston - Copperfield) folks to hunt with.  I've been hunting with dogs for about a year now.  Mostly with a friend down around Goliad.

At this point I've got a couple of good dogs that need more time in the field.

1)  APBT gyp about 2 yo. a rescue dog that hates hogs and will catch any hog, any time (read suicidal).
2)  BMC gyp 3 years old finished dog.
3)  BMC gyp 18 mos and well started, hasn't shown any desire to trash and has found her own hogs.

And a couple that I'm not sure about.

1)  Dogo Argentino 17mo. male shows desire but hasn't had much time in the field.
2)  BMC 1 yo.  open, trashes like crazy, but has a good nose and likes to hunt.

What I will do is help with the dogs, pay for fuel, drinks, food, keep the property clean, drag hogs, etc.

What I won't do is show up drunk, freeload, go behind your back to your landowner, etc.

I have a 4 wheeler and my own dog gear.

I realize I'm a newbie to this sport but I love it.  My pleasure is watching and hearing the dogs work and getting up close and personal with the hogs.  I am willing to work hard, listen and learn.  I am self-employed, so I have a certain amount of flexibility in my schedule.  I would really appreciate any opportunity to hunt with some of you guys.

madshark, I live in Richmond, I hog hunt down in Goliad and Beeville. I am waiting for grain season right now, I don't mind bringing you around May. I am also on a rotation 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. We have a couple of good grain fields, lets just wait and see what they put on the ground hopefully not cotton  Grin.
