I think I pay $70-80 a box but I break them in half and skip a month and still don't ever see a flea. But I also spray my yard pretty heavy with permethrin and demon.

We take the 60-120 pills and put them in a pill grinder, then cut them in half. Each dog gets 1/2 pill worth of powder and we only have to treat 2-3 times a year.  Last week was the first time we treated for 2011.  If my math is correct, it works out to about $1.63 per month per dog.

$78.00 box of 6, cut in half treats 12 dogs.   $6.50 per treatment, treating 3 times a year = $19.50 per year per dog /  or 1.63 per month.

I also payed the 75 for the larger dog tabs.  Need to get a pill grinder.  Thats a good idea.  Nothing was working on the fleas and they are as bad as I have ever seen them.  So went with the Comfortis and man it was a life saver.

Be sure to grind them! The first time I used it, I just split the pills in half. Some dogs had fleas and some didn't. After talking to Mandi, I ground them the second time... haven't seen a flea since!

He has seen most of my dogs but he never asks which ones they are for. He just asks me how much they weigh.
