alright i got a gyp about 8 months old out of good stock half cat half ridgeback if i put her in a pen with a pig she will find a spot and sit there and watch it....put 2 cur pups in and when they chase the pig around trying to catch it she will run it and bark a little when they catch or get it stoped and bay she will go back to her spot if the pig breaks and runs by her she will nip at it for a minute then go back to her spot and if you hold the pig by the back leg and hold her next to it she will eat it up but when you let her go she goes back and sits down.....any suggestions on getting this pup started i think she would turn on im just not sure of the right way to go about it.....she has only seen a pig 2 times so thats what she done both times maybe she needs more time? or do you think she is worth the trouble?

All dogs start at diff ages, depending on her confidence and maturity. I give all my dogs 18 months to start then I start culling. 8 months is young she's prolly got the confidence and maturity of a kindergartener. JMO. Good luck with the pup.
