We struck this group of pigs in a coastal field yesterday at about 5. My Molly dog stopped this first sow, about 150, in some real thick blackberry bushes. Finally got there and got the pig flipped and all of the older dogs rolled back out. Just about to put the 2nd hobble on this sow when we heard Molly open up about 500 yards across this huge field. Stopped and listened and heard my buddies Black dog get there. Stabbed the sow, grabbed the hobbles and ran to this bay. About 200 yards out we could hear a solid bay so we sent in our CDs Moose and Rocky. When we got to the top of the hill we could see all the dogs and they were in a one acre hay trap that was totally surrounded by NETWIRE!
The bay dogs were caught on this 180 boar and the CDs were caught on another sow about 120. Looked to the left just in time to see a big ol boar around 250 bookin it across the field. Anyways ran in and stabbed the sow and hobbled the boar to work some dogs on. All of this happened in about an hour but then we spent another 15 minutes trying to get my Molly dog back ( she was trailing the bigger boar). Got her back and loaded the pig and we were gone.
