G'day all,

just a quick update on the progress of our BMC's.  In the end we imported 3 females from David Thoms and a male from Randy Wright.  They left Three Rivers Texas and went to Houston via truck.  They flew to San Fransisco and overnighted there.  They then flew to Sydney and arrived on 14th July.  They are now held in the quarantine station in Sydney for a further 30 days.  We are hoping to visit them in a week (its a 6 hours drive one way to Sydney from home).  Stay tuned for some photos over the next few weeks.

I have had the chance to get out for a little hunting.  We hmade a trip way out west 3 weeks ago and caught 28 in almost 2 days.

shankem,  theres a lot around out western areas at the moment, numbers highest they have been for years following the floods, my mates caught and sold 66 in two days weekend before last, they got 75-80 all up, but some where a bit small, not good photos but you get the idea.  The two truck could only hold 70 carcases.

Some roos as well, they are licenced kangaroo shooters.

cheers

T

sorry not a great photo

IN have been visiting with some hog hunters down there and asked about gutting to the diaphram. I was told they leave the vital organs intact for the inspector and if the organs are clean, the meat is processed. About .75 a kilo dressed they say. Some cool pics from there. Loads of hogs and kangaroos.

be interesting to hear how those Texas dogs take to Australia.
