Ric and I went this morning and had a pretty good hunt. Rain and Tiny bayed a decent sow right off the bat and Ric's young dog Storm grabbed a shoat up..Then Rain relayed and bayed again about 500 yards from us and we got another pretty good sow caught.. Turned loose again and Rain and Tiny split up and went opposite directions. Rain bayed about 700 yards out and right about the same time Tiny bayed in the oppsoite direction about 500 yards out . Rain was right on the river so we went to her and of course the hog swam the river and they bayed on the other side with the bulldog right behind him so me and Ric had to swim too, felt nice but the current about whooped me. Got to the other side and got a decent boar hog caught. By the time we got back to Tiny she was headed back to lay under my truck with what was left of a shoat ear in her mouth just like I trained her to do..  Cheesy

Ric swam back across first and took a long range pic of the boar hog. I held him up out of the water as far as I could for yall. LOL...

Noah, there aren't near as many right there as there are about 20 miles south of there. There was one about 6 feet long swimming up river about 75 yards from us. I didn't see him on the way back across, I told myself he kept goin up river..  Wink

I don't mind six footers... but when I start to seein' 10' plus gators on a regular basis... I don't like hangin' out in dark water too long!  Undecided Grin
