Im posting this for my partner.  Last weekend he went up to the mountains here in New Mexico to run a few.  He got on a pretty rank hog in a canyon, and it did a number on his dogs, he had five dogs cut, and the bulldog got cut down - the boar ended up breaking.  Two of his dogs were cut in the chest and rearend, his little female Kemmer Rooster took a bad cut in the lungs, his bulldog was cut through the vest into the ribcage.  He found his Ben Jordan BMC, named Post on the side of a creek Just sitting there, he gathered him up and noticed he took it bad in the neck and belly areas.  The other dogs are healing up ok, but he ended up loosing Post.  Its a shame because he was a young dog that was really turning on.  I will try to add some pics of him - he is the bmc on the previous thread New Mexico Boar.   We plan on loading up my dogs and a few others and going up there to bring this hog out of that canyon for good.   Post belonged to Catahoulaman here on the board.     RIP - Post.

You boys go get that hog and wind up his visit here on Earth. Hate to hear that about a good dog.

Are you running in the Weed area? I have an elk hunt up there in October and thought about taking a couple of my dogs. I know the elk hunters wont be too happy but I am thinking it will get the elk moving  Grin
