I don't forsee myself buying a strike dog, but it I did I think I would have the person bring only the dog for sale for the trial hunt. A strike dog to me is one that can and will do it by itself. I have caught plenty of hogs with one strike dog and a cd.

Jim, that's kick ass! I had doubts whether or not you would win. I'm glad you did! I've met some great people on here and gotten some great dogs from some of these guys. There are still good people out there. But I have been hosed just as many times! Mark one down for the good guys!

If there is one thing on this board that I have learned it is that unless you know them, or know someone that knows them, prolly best to back out. There are a ton of dogs, but there are only a couple hand fulls of dogs that will find a hog. It's best to be careful and wait, than to get something and have to deal with crap. Sorry to hear about your bad luck, but at least it all kind of worked out in the end. Good luck to you finding some good dogs.

thanks muleman i've had bad deals before and i'm tired of eating it. the last guy when i finally got his attention and told him i was taking him to court.. responded " OVER DOGS" i replyed no over 1250.00 $
this leads me to believe he may have did this before........word to everybody get copy of drivers license....even if fake it is proof of dishonesty write down car license # the P.D. is not suppose to run checks however.....i'll leave it at that........ if he has a buddy there get his license....he is less likely to have a fake........ask person to bring a current bill like elt. or water with current address. GET A TRIAL IN WRITTING. TRY TO PICK UP AT OWNERS HOME.
WE SHOULDN'T NEED TO DO ALL THIS>>>>BUT THERE ARE CROOKS OUT THERE>>>>ONE MORE THING WE ARE AFRAID WE MIGHT OFFEND OR PISS SOMEONE OFF..... I'M AT THE POINT BETTER THEM THAN ME.
WHEM POSSIBLE BUY FROM SOMEONE U KNOW....HOWEVER IF THIS WAS TOTALLY TRUE MY BEST 2 DOGS CAME FROM STRANGERS>>>AND HAVE LOST SO CALLD FRIENDS AND FAMILY OVER MONEY>
ONE MORE THING I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH..... 800 CASH OR 1000 WITH TRIAL....THIS IS B.S. it is the same dog he will either do it or not MAN Up and stand behind your word as long as he comes back just like he left!
NOT SAYING we need to but when i buy off EBAY it is easy to research their selling history.
