Cottage cheese is a great source of calcium, with Vitamin D. The truth is that cottage cheese can prevent stomach disorders and even help with your bones as you get older, especially in women.
As for dogs? I couldnt tell you personally but I have a feeling the guy you were talking to may be on to something.

Just this morning I was speaking to a nice lady at the feed store who has managed a dog rescue for the past 30 years.
She told me the same thing about plain white yogurt. She said yogurt also promotes a healthy shiny coat as well as correct skin irritations caused by heat, stress, dog food die, and allergies.
I would say with 30 years of rescuing dogs and nursing them back to health that she may know a little about getting and keeping dogs healthy.
I will track her down and see if she can verify the claims this guy makes about cottage cheese for ya.

Feeding a dog yogurt which contains the live culture can help supply beneficial bacteria and settle a sick dogs stomach.  I never heard of it, until I was told by Mr. Wager from Louisiana been giving it to injured dogs since.  I don't know about the cottage  cheese.

Well Cottage Cheese is pretty close to yogurt in how it's made... just one's cheap and lumpy the other is smooth and more like ice cream Azn

You can achieve the same thing by buying a tube of Pro-Bios and giving each dog a small dose.....Dont have to do it daily.....just monthly and per serving is way cheaper than buying cottage cheese every day! Wink
