My good friend and hunting partner Donny brought me this pup. He is out of a great young female Rose. Rose is 3/4 Catahoula 1/4 Plott (Jessy x Connie) and was breed to a real solid straight Plott male of Donny's. This pup is 5/8's Plott, 3/8 Catahoula. Some of my best blood in his mother so I am expecting great things from this little boy. Atilla, 9 weeks old  |

good lookin pup paul , just curious , are you gonna use him on cattle too ? i don't have any experiance with plotts . just wondering if that cross would make as good of baydog on cattle as a well bred cur .

No cattle for this one. But I have used several 1/2 Plott 1/2 Catahoulas on cattle and they work very well. I use them mostly for tracking wild cattle in big country. They have got a better nose and more bottom but their bay style is usually not as good and they can lack the good handle of a straight Catahoula. |
