I am always seeing post about different types of vests one thing i've never seen though is chain maille. At first I know it sounds kind of ridiculous, but really if you think about it there shouldn't be tusk that cut through it. If you used a lightweight metal then you should be able to keep it fairly lightweight. One problem I thought about was it hanging in the brush but I think if you get a tight enough mesh pattern it wouldn't be a problem. Then there is also the problem of no protection from just take a brute force hit. So I was thinking about having it sewn real tight to the outside of a regular cut vest. Which could also keep it from hanging on anything. Just an idea though maybe i'll try it someday. If anybody has experience with something like this I'd like to hear about it. Or any more pro's or cons y'all could think of.

ive seen one a guy made from a old suit of armor and he just took some soft leather and put on the inside of it to protect the dog
downside is its real heavy
