i have a pit/ridgeback pup that is around 4 months old and im about to get a plott/pit that will be 5 months in october! when and how should i start them off? i want to use them as rcd but i have had very little experience with them, i have hunted behind a few of my buddies rcd and i like em so i thought i would try it for myself. i really have no clue on how to do this ive asked before but am looking for some more opinions!

thanks, Kamron

I would start them in a pen or a staged hunt...but I would use a small enough pig that they can handle so that their confidence level increases. They are ready at this age to do so.
